minion waves, useless towers, banishment of strategy and the end of heroic comeback

I watched carefully tonight and noticed that once the game has decided your team is going to lose, you can't build up a minion wave to work its way to the next tower and gradually whittle it down. Besides the fact that towers are stupid and irrelevant, have-been getting stupider and more irrelevant all the time (why have them if they don't hurt the enemy!)--the so called "winning" team's minions get stronger and stronger. My team was behind after bottom lane was repeatedly ganked to the point of insanity--they figured out the new meta: get 3 or more early kills and you're certain to win--no strategy needed. Just gank, gank, gank the same lane over and over and there you go. You win. Even after we had an ace and pushed down mid pad turret and I snuck in and got the inhibitor later, there was no reprieve--the game had decided we were the losers so we lost. The minion wave that should have helped, amounted to nothing and the pad turrets were no help--they're a total joke. There's no strategy involved now, no hope of defending to regain momentum, no hope of backing off and playing it cool after a mistake to get the measure of an opponent and try something different to get rolling again--no at all--so why play? I've won some very unsatisfying, snowballed games and lost some. If you can win this easy it's not fun and if you lose this easy--that's not fun either. I have two friends right now who are done with LOL. I'm next.

No, they actually don't. That change hasn't been enabled. Even when it will be enabled, the actually difference in minion strength is pretty minimal unless you are very far behind. If you were having trouble pushing minions out, it was because you manged waves poorly and pushed poorly.

(why have [towers] if they don't hurt the enemy!)

You mean like always? Because this hasn't changed. They've never done more damage than they do right now. Seriously, look at their patch history. There has never been a single nerf to tower damage.

oh no you left the game, WHAT WILL RIOT DO???????????????????????????????. But srsly first people complain about how games are to long, then they get mad about how they are too short and say that riot never listens to them...

HOW ABOUT UPGRADING TOWERS WITH ITEMS

Upgradable turrets would give players the option in how they like their towers to work. Want your towers more durable? No problem buy them some armor. Want them to have more Damage no problem get them a weapons upgrade, or how about some more range? Sick of seeing your tower being whittled down by constant shoving and want to buy them some health regen now you can. Tired of your team not using you splipush prowess to pressure objectives how about you upgrade a line of turrets to give minions a temporary buff!

Have players be able to upgrade their turrets in the shop by spending gold. Via a tab in the shop players can select turrets, from there players can select which line of turrets to upgrade, outer, inner, inhibitor and nexus turrets. Upgrades would cost an appropriate amount of gold. Upgrades can be a items for example;

Defensive Items, like giving turrets a selection of items players can buy for them, this could be aura items like aegis, minion buff items like banner where it would buff a minion whom passes by. Other things could be stuff like a shield generator. Or maybe a thornmail or whatever these items may be, these items would ofcoarse have buildpaths, items bought apply to all turrets in that specific line, example; you buy health regen item for all outer turrets, or increased vision range.

Offensive upgrades Like buffing its range or damage, but also altering its attack behavior and type of atacks, think about stuff like splash damage or turning its damage into magic damage. But also increasing the overheat capacity or the way it attacks, lasers, or slow firing large heavy hitting aoe blasts, or fast attacks, or allowing it to hit more than one target (splitting it's attacks and damage)

Both types of upgrades come in the form of items so turrets can only have 6 upgrades each. The balance in this turretbuff is that you either spend gold on turret upgrading or buying items for your champion. But contrary to champions, when turrets are dead they wont just respawn on the fountain :)
