Dragon Changes: Will dragon actually maintain importance as an objective?
I just want to begin by saying that I think the dragon changes are overall good and will add an interesting new way to play the game. My biggest question though is if it was an intentional decision to say that dragon just might not be important in all games? Due to the nature of each element favoring a certain composition then it is very possible that a game may have dragons spawn which are not important to either team offensively and defensively. Then it would feel very much like the buff is nice to have but not worth the risk unless there is absolutely nothing else to take safely.
For example, lets say in some weird universe you draft up a team comp consisting of only energy based champions (Akali top, Zed mid, Lee Sin jg, Shen Supp, Kennen adc) - humor me here - and the opposing team took a split push comp. Water dragon spawns first and its simply not very important to either team for either offense or defense. Now if another water dragon were to spawn then it might not get taken at all because the stats aren't important enough. Dragon could be a useless objective until elder dragon spawns.
So my question, again, is if you are overall okay with dragon ranging from potentially near useless all the way to a priority objective in varying games? I understand that each buff is nice to have no matter what but particularly with water dragon I feel that there is potential for it to have a strong dichotomy of either useless or must contest. On the flip side there is the earth dragon which I feel may not have enough variance of importance game to game because everyone needs to take towers.
