PSA: Don't First Time Champs in PVP

KnKitsune··1 votes·743 views

I'm trying not to sound absolutely livid, but if you decide to first time a champ in pvp and get your ass kick, don't be surprised that your teammates will rage at you.

I had an First Time Azir player use soldiers and fight in melee range against a Darius, constantly losing trades.

If you want to play First Time Champs, make sure you have a 5-man willing to take the lose for your chances of liability. Don't drag a bunch of randoms down with you.

Players want a Teammate, not a Liability.

Are you really complaining that someone tried a new champion in a normal game?

When it's a new champion some people don't know the limits of the champion they select, or aren't familiar with the play style and end up feeding the enemy team. A first time Azir got a score of 0/8/0 once, which made winning very difficult. If you want to practice using new champs, please fight against bots.

I could go 30/0 against bots but then feed horribly in a game against actual players. Bot AI is pretty horrendous, and won't teach you anything outside of champion mechanics.

Trying new champs in a normal PvP is completely fine. You're just a rager crying for no reason. Stop raging at your team mates

I play champions for the first time in ranked, and do just fine (if not great). See, the thing is, this game is not hard in the slightest, and once you know the basic mechanics of the game, any champion is just more of the same.

So let's get down off that high horse, alright?

Depends on general skill level. Plenty of moderately experienced players can pick up a new champ and do well in a normal game, or even ranked. At a relatively low skill level, bots are just silly easy and aren't good practice. I played my first and only Quinn game against bots and went something like 15/0/23, but I'd not even remotely consider myself good with the champ.

Basically, if your teammate tried fighting in melee range as Azir and went 0/8/0, chances are that they're simply not a skilled player. They could have used their main and still failed you.

Technically norms are for practicing and people who try new champs in norms(like me) have decent understanding of the game to not feed as much. If you want to play with people who mostly dont play first time champs play ranked. Btw i checked your stat on op gg and im pretty sure you dont play ranked that much like me so just face the pain of norms xD.

Lol, then theirs players that just dont care one bit about ranked or what their team thinks.

The bot AI is too dumb to be worth it.

you have to play against people in normals to learn anything, I understand that you are wasting 20 min of your life when someone screws up but that happens all the time even with people that have mastered a champion.

Or you can not be an asshole. This is still a video game where people have fun in

lol

I was gonna say something like "if it's a completely new champ, then sure, learn the kit in bots", but I really don't care if people first-time a champ in normals as long as they try to win.

If it's an existing champ, all you need a basic understanding of how their kit works from having played against them and you can first-time it no problem. I first-timed Ezreal in ranked and carried because of how many times I'd already played the matchup the other way.
