The upcoming 10 bans system. Xayah and Rakan

I'm sure all of you are aware of the new 10 ban system in the LCS, according to riot we will likely come to our normals and ranked too But that puts the 2 new champions in a rough spot I believe

Xayah and Rakan are the new champions comming up in the next patch. ( Which if I recall correctly is today ) They can be played without each other but if played on the same team, let's asume adc and support, they get some really nice buffs

(For the persons that don't know yet): Rakan's dash to Xayah has a lot more range which is gives her a shield, that's a really big gap closer if you combo it correctly Xayah has a ability that gives her more attack speed + movement speed while attacking another champion, if Rakan is nearby when she activates it, he get's the ability's effect too They can recall together, if Xayah is already recalling for 7 seconds and Rakan joins her the last 1 second, they will both go to the fountain at the same time, vise versa

**So why might the 10 bans system be a problem for them? ** Since if 1 player shows to pick Rakan or Xayah, they can just pick or ban the other away.

Let's say I'm support and a friend mine is adc First ban phase, nothing special. Xayah and Rakan are NOT banned I'm 3rd pick and I lock in Rakan

If there is any smartass on the opposite team, he will make sure that Xayah, or is getting banned, or is getting picked since we don't have the nice bot lane combo anymore

My friend is 4th pick and wants to pick Xayah but he can't anymore, they banned or snatched her away

This may also occur in just the 6 ban system but it is less likely to happen. In the Lcs, they probably won't be played at all. This is a big reason for it

There are ways past this but in Solo Q / Duo Q, not everyone has the champion or doesn't want to pick for you. That makes it in my opnion a bit tricky to play Lovebird 1 and Lovebird 2 with your bot lane partner

• Keep in mind that in the lower elo's, most people are not smartasses So they will just keep banning away Yasuo and Darius and whatever champions they are scared for. But I can promise you 1 thing. As soon as they come out, the first weeks, you won't be able to play them in the same lane since they will most likely ban the new champions away ( as always )

• I'm not complaining about the upcomming 10 ban system in our normals and ranked but this is just something I wanted to point out. If I wasn't clear about something, please ask :)

Ps: Don't get depressed if one of them is banned away, they look like nice champs that can still play very well without each other.
