"It's like it doesn't even matter we won lane so easy"

Yesterday I played ranked flex for the first time with a friend of mine and we did some duo bot I was support, he was the adc. We absolutely dominated the bot lane ( He played Lucian and I played Nami ) We got an early double kill and continue to snowball from there. First turret, everything is going alright. No flamers and no feeding team mates

Then, the laning phase ended. He was like 7/1/3 And I was 2/2/11, something like that We proceeded to win teamfights get objectives they got nothing on us.

But here is the important part Lucian got killed.... a lot of times. whenever there was a teamfight, skirmish or a splitpush He just died many times and we could not help it. Keep in mind that lucian is one of the adc's that has some form of escape + He got kills and cs on his side

The enemy zyra who was doing not so great 1 shotted him somewhere mid game He couldn't win a single 1 v 1 except for their Varus which was the adc from the enemy team

This pretty much confirms that adc's are NOT in the best spot at the moment. even when fed they still die I don't want to complain about it that much but it's just something I noticed and I feel like it shouldn't be this way and I understand why mage apc's are a thing now.

He ended 8/9/12 And I ended 5/5/34

From what it sounds like, he didn't respect the enemy team's CC and burst. He should have hung back some and not get close enough for Zyra to snare him for the kills.

Honestly, it just sounded like he didn't position himself properly. Granted, he's got 550 range, but he should still be able to do stuff, so long as the team covers for him, and he has enough damage to make up for that.

This game sounds viciously familiar.

That's how it should be, though. Getting fed shouldn't make you invincible. He presumably built solid damage, so I see now reason why he should have been any harder to kill with his gold lead.
