a modest suggestion about electrocute and sorcery. (could we get the old Thunderlords Decree back)

Hi Riot,

I’ve got a suggestion that is worth looking into, or at least I think it is. It’s about one of the new paths in the new rune system. It would be great if we could get a sorcery mastery that would work in the same way as the old TLD (thunderlord’s decree). Since Electrocute needs 3 separate attacks or spells the burst potential of champions like Twisted Fate and Gangplank has suffered quite a bit. Of course there are new ways to make up for this : Twisted fate can use the new cometh ability and Gangplank is probably the most efficient user of kleptomancy in the entire game. The thing is that the cometh needs to scale, so in the early game it doesn’t give as much extra damage as TLD did. So midlaners with a lack of 3 separate abilities that are registered as unique lose some burst. The exact same goes for Ganplanks ultimate, which is as good as useless now the ultimate doesn’t activate electrocute. We could of course argue that Gangplank doesn’t need this since he makes so much gold due to Kleptomancy that there is no point in adding some additional burst. Thing is that Kleptomancy isn’t that healthy of a mechanic to begin with. Sure it’s fun for whoever uses it, but it also makes it impossible to out farm a GP and if he gets behind it isn’t that useful. Maybe adding a sorcery version of electrocute would give him a more impactful way to use his ultimate and also discourage the use of kleptomancy.

There are more champions that could benefit from a updated electrocute or a new sorcery mastery but these two examples seamed the most obvious to me.

Maybe this is worth looking into.

Cheers.
