I have a confession to make about Nidalee.

I suck.

I almost got executed the first time this season when I tried to take Gromp. I played at least 15 custom games (each one ending when I cleared all camps), and I still feel really useless with her. I have to use tanky-ish masteries so I don't kill myself. I try to kite and switch between her two forms like you're supposed to, but damn it's much more intricate than a jungler with only one form.

I started playing her again in S6 because... the snow leopard skin was available. I am a SHAMEFUL summoner. The skin is the only reason I resumed playing her. However, I realized that she's actually really fun to learn. I mean, sure, it may not be fun for my teammate when I fail a gank... but you get the point.

So if you feel as if she's OP, I encourage you to play her and find her weaknesses. Yes, there are many.

she still has the fastest jungle clear, people that don't play nidalee not being able to jungle her doesnt justify her clear speed and kill potential coupled with insane mobility

Yeah, I know. I just suck. I'm saying this to players around my skill level who see an enemy Nidalee in the game.

the only people who CAN clear with her at insane speeds are the people with inhuman korean mechanics.. anyone else who tries to clear that way will get executed. doing that "insane clear speed" pretty much requires you to have an absolutely perfect kite and if you get hit even ONE time to many you will die.

for the other 99.9% of players who arn't robots, we need to clear the slower safer route in which case nidalee's clear speed isn't only "not fast" but its pretty dang slow.

hence her 43% win rate...

I laugh when people say that Nidalee is easy - obviously they've never played her. I feel that Nidalee gets an unnecessarily bad name tbh. I can understand why champions such as Riven/Zed get a bad name - even an idiot can press R and point blank their abilities - not to say that they don't have a high skill ceiling, but their skill floor is in actuality relatively low - it doesn't take a legend to pick up kills and be useful with them, quite the opposite actually as Riven is literally a starter champion, that and they have insane spring back potential. Nidalee on the other hand...well, if you think you can jump into a game with her and do well then you're really barking up the wrong tree. Hard to pick up, even harder to master, and as such rates pretty high on both the skill floor and ceiling scales. There's a worlds difference between a bad nidalee and a good nidalee, similarly, there's a worlds difference between a Nidalee that's bad but experienced, and one that's a complete novice. Not to mention that her spring back potential is minimal, she really does need to be ahead to function, and even if she's ahead she won't be nearly as oppressive as a fed Riven or Zed, who's skill cap drops with each additional kill that they get to the point that once super fed, they just mow down everything in front of them Nidalee on the other hand has to exercise finesse at all points of the game, otherwise she will come off as underwhelming.

People that say Nidalee is easy probably only played AP Nidalee 3 years ago.
