Ranked placements are horrible

SO last season i was platinum 3 and i stayed there for the last 3 monthish of the season. I had high mmr and I was really excited for my placements this season. I played them and i went 10/0, somethign that i had never done before, but guess what. I got placed in GOLD 1. What the fuck is this system i won all my placements and it puts me 3 divisions and a tier below my last ranking. Whats the point of even trying in placements if you are going to get demoted no matter what?

So you don't get demoted more? You probably would have placed better if you waited but Ranking hasn't flushed out yet. Currently I think silver 2 is top 20% of players instead of top 40%. Takes a while for everything to flush out.

You also didn't Solo Queue for all 10 ranked games, you duoQ'd with a former Plat 5. Plat 3 to Gold 1 isn't that bad, if you deserved to be in Plat 3, you'll get back.

i thought gold 1 was the highest someone could be placed period?

Uhh.... you're complaining about being a few divisions below your previous one? There was a reset; you will always come out lower than you were last season.

You actually lucked out, hard. I went very high Gold 1 to Silver 4 last season and had to climb all the way back up. Count those divisions, lol.
