Ape champions? Seeing Hanzo at your name I understand excactly what you mean!

Usually, simple champions have simple counterplay but in many cases, when they are overbuffed due to how easy they are to counter, they become impossible to deal with. This is excact the case with Hanzo and Garen, both champions extremely easy to play but overbuffed to the point of them being impossible to deal with

Garen is undoubtedly broken and OP right now. If "pick this ..or this champ to poke him like Zyra, Vayne etc." is the only option - sorry doesn't work. Even bronze players know who to gank now. It might work if the game didn't have junglers. Garen is verry verry hard to deal with right now. He just needs 1 damage item, rest he can face tank while getting rid of your carry. Grievous wounds dont work well anymore especially with champs like Garen or Warwick. By the time you afford healing reduction and damage, they've snowballed the game most likely.

I just want to point out that healing reduction only works on Conq for Garen, by the time his passive is back on your healing reduction is gone.

I think I found your brother. In my recent games one of my junglers was called Genji main, I think you two can relate to one another.

Probably because if all the easy characters are god awful then it's really hard for a lot of people to play.

Also looking at u.gg the top 20 characters winrate wise are really really simple to understand and play characters.

easy to play champions are strong in low elo because they are easy to play. hard to play champions often have more tools to win games but more chances for the player to make mistakes on. a high winrate below platinum for easy to play champions and a low winrate for hard to play champions means these champions are in a healthy state.

there would be something wrong if bad players were winning more games with someone like zoe against someone like malzahar.

easy to play is not the same as easy to master by the way and the reason why people are able to win 50% games on champions like singed, garen, and annie in high elo is different from why people win with them in low elo. champions like garen should be balanced to 50% winrate at least to master elo.

grandmaster and challenger is where you find the riven onetricks.

the new patch is there for two days. the statistics are inaccurate until there are enough games recorded.

in master and grandmaster there are maybe 100 to 150 games with a garen in them so far. that means this statisic is really bad.

you need minimum 1000 games before it becomes useful.

this still does not change that garen has 49% winrate against kayle right now. and if you are losing to a garen with kayle then it was your mistakes.

you had an advantage in the match and still lost. kayle is a risky champion in the early game and that makes her difficult to play. you can not fight most people in top lane with kayle and you need to be great at kiting to make her good. so if you accidentally get too close you die easy. but you scale hard.

i guess you probably do not know how to control minion waves well yet and were overextended in your lane a few times and got too close to him very early.

maybe you should try tryndamere, sett or mordekaiser.

Garen has been this way for 4 patches now lmao

This isn't an isolated incident!

garen had 51% win rate at diamond last patch and 6% play rate.

the patches before his last buff was 47% win rate at diamond.

he is only like you think in low elo. and that makes sense. if a champion like garen has extremely high win rate in low elo and difficult champions have low winrate in low elo then the champions are balanced.

by the way garen has a 49% win rate against kayle.

the problem in your case is what i was talking about. it was not garen being to strong against you. you are just a bad kayle player. the champion is too difficult for you and you should pick something easier if you have trouble winning against garen.

or you just have to live with the idea that you have to feed a lot of games against garen until you begin to learn to play kayle and the match better and then begin to win after maybe 50 or 100 games of feeding.

improving and learning takes time.

Man that's not the problem. Garen IS and will always be a champ that requires 0 skill and deals tons of damage for no reason. Just had a game and Garen with Berserker's grieves is somehow able to deal more dmg than wit's end + berserker's grieves yasuo. And you know how? By pressing Q dealing 300 dmg silencing me then presses E that just has a black cleaver passive that reduces MORE armor than black cleaver does and now with the changes deals more dmg if you build attack speed...and that's stupid af because as if it didn't have enough damage before and lastly using R which is a click on target ability and now deals ONLY true damage...no villain passive to deal true dmg. Please explain how this is balanced. Garen is not a balanced champ and has never been.

Honestly, people need to lose the beginner champions should be playable in normal play mentality. Champions like darius tryndamere and garen should lose under ALL conditions to normal skilled top lane champions but for some reason its the exact opposite. These ape champions just run you down and statcheck you. Statchecks should honestly be 40% winrate anywhere above silver. The fact that I can play 100% perfectly and still not have a chance of beating this champions 1v1 is just r%%%%%ed and absurd. No sane person thinks this is good gameplay except the whales that buy their 20 dollar god king to abuse their 54% winrate champion for temporary LP.

IMO every champion should have some degree of skill in their kit and the ones that dont should be a full staircase lower than the ones that at least have fucking skillshots.
