If Teemo got a rework, this is what I'd do

I love Teemo and I think he's in a fairly ok state currently. But I wish like some of the older champions, he gets a fair bit of modernization and optimization. The recent visual changes to his AAs and abilities has been a fantastic addition to him so far, and the only thing Teemo needs now is an eventual rework to his kit and a model/skins improvement (VGU). Teemo isn't as bad as some of the other champions like Volibear, but he is showing his age and is not a competitively viable champion. He is also my favorite league champion, so I'm always in favor of giving this little monster some more love.

Here are some of my proposed changes:

The passive stealth is cool and sometimes makes for good gameplay moments, but sucks by itself. The stealth is what's iconic so that's the only part that should be retained somewhere in his kit if his passive were to ever be changed. I'd personally replace his passive entirely with his current E ability, and skill lock his stealth into one of his other abilities. Rename this to 'Toxic Shot' from 'Guerilla Warfare'.

His Q is in a great spot. Good damage and has a unique passive. A solid, core ability. Maybe give this ability a very slight range increase, so it's barely outside of his AA range for just a little extra trade set-up or trade deterrence. Otherwise, should remain the same as the live version.

His W could be reworked, or be given new interactions like make his old passive stealth part of his W passive. I'd personally like to see his W replaced by an active attack speed steroid ability, and place his current passive stealth ability into his W as its new passive. Going stealth could reduce his new W's cooldown by an additional second, every second stealthed, or just not if it becomes too op. Rename this ability to 'Yordle Warfare' from 'Move Quick'.

His current E should become his new reworked passive . I'd personally like his E to be replaced with a dash ability (visually a tumble though) with a way to reduce its cooldown, for example current E cooldown is reduced by 70% when an enemy champion detonates a mushroom. Rename this ability to 'Swift Scout' from 'Toxic Shot'.

His R is acceptable at the moment, but I wish the duration of placed mushrooms was slightly increased, the maximum capacity of mushrooms is increased to 4, and the bounce mechanic is replaced with an entirely new mechanic.

One of his new R mechanics could be:

  • Mushrooms that time out will detonate even if they're not activated by creep, champs, or jungle mobs

  • Mushrooms thrown on an enemy champions could instantly detonate, remove the delay.

  • Mushrooms that detonate could leave a lingering poison cloud in their detonation radius like how singed's Q cloud does for a brief time applying/refreshing the mushroom DoT while enemies are in the poisonous cloud AoE

  • Let Teemo pick up extra mushrooms that spawn randomly around the map like Bards chime passive

  • Teemo could spawn randomly placed mushroom spores like Zyras seed passive spawns random seeds around herself. Spawned mushrooms spores will slowly grow like neutral jungle plants giving enemies knowledge of where they are before they mature and go stealthed, or Teemo must 'prime' them by simply walking over them. These mushrooms could last half the duration of placed ones by Teemo.

  • When an enemy champion detonates one of Teemo's mushrooms, his next non ult ability becomes empowered (Assuming his current abilities are the same as the live version, and the empowered passive will have its own cooldown).

    Q blind gains additional duration and when an enemy is hit with empowered Q they hear Teemo laughing for the entire duration of blind (I know the last bit is troll) W becomes a tumble and gains activated W speed at the end of the tumble E applies doubled initial hit and poison DoT damage with the same duration as un-empowered E .

Q- The same. W-His current ult. E-The same. R- Grow Mushroom( up to 5 times, each time increases the size, radius, and damage of the mushroom by a percentage) at 5stacks, mushroom is immune to sight/true sight.
