Is Poppy Good Enough to Carry Silver Games

I've been enjoying Poppy a lot recently. I play her top, jungle and even support sometimes. She has amazing peel for the carries, and can both tank and do lots of damage. However, I've been losing some games recently, mostly due to lack of engage or a team misplay. My thought is, champion picks do not effect too much as long as they are viable in their role and you are skilled enough. Normally I wouldn't be asking this type of question since it's always asked. But am I doing something wrong? Is Poppy not a good enough team player in games? Or am I having some bad luck? Thanks for any response
