Cassiopeia's laning opponents (specific)
I really like
and have been playing her a lot. There are certain champions that give me a hard time, hoping someone can give me some pointers:
- This filthy wench is impossible for me. She outranges me in every way, has a low ult cd that gives her serious mobility to dodge my Q and makes her faster than me even if I did land a Q. I've tried to just make the lane a farm lane (which is the traditional Cass lane anyway) but her Q goes through everything and still chunks me hard. How to play vs this abomination? I try to run
but her charm is such a low cd sometimes I don't think it's worth it.
- She pushes my waves so hard, constantly has me under tower. If she's not killing me, she is starving me. Her Q is so long range, it does so much damage to the minions and is on such a low cd, and it causes the ground to speed her up so she easily dodges my Qs. I guess I favor
here, but it's a really tough choice since she's so good at almost everything (vs Cass)
- This guy is technically a problem... I have a solution but I'm not sure if there's a better one? I run
and get
early, saving both for when he uses his ult. Alternating between these 2 cds keeps me safe for the most part. Anyone else have a better way? Anyone know if I W him while he throws a shadow if it will prevent him from switching places with it, or if it will prevent his ult?
- is tough, her being able to cast Q while moving makes it very difficult for me to kill her. Also, apparently she can E right before using Q to get a near-garanteed stun: how am I supposed to dodge that? Seeing as how I can't buy boots, I feel I'm gonna get hit by this every time in the laning phase, which she then follows up with W, R, dead Cass, and que the mastery flash -.-. I don't know what summoner to take vs her, her stun happens fast and the follow up is almost the whole duration, if I have to pick I'd guess barrier for that disgusting ult.
- this one is about 50/50 for me. I try and predict her shunpos by Qing the daggers, but that doesn't always work. I mainly try to bait a tower dive so I can ult, Q, W her escape, and E away. This is actually my main hope for most of these champions, but anyone who knows Cass should know to bait the ult before attempting a dive. I favor
here.
The next few champions I've either faced one time or have not but am worried about facing:
- The inability to buy boots leaves me to conclude that the early game w/ this guy is hell for Cass. Massively outranged, massively outdamaged, his abilities don't recognize minions so there's nothing to hide behind... shall I put my head between my legs? Don't know which summoner is best here.
- I've actually played against him twice, both times I was given a pretty rough time. One well-placed rake, and its all over for me. Do I just wait for that one thing to be on CD and then cs? How else do I play against? Don't know enough about Talon to pick a summoner for him, honestly. Suggestions?
- The simple E, charged Q, auto, and E back combo gets me and he can keep doing it. If he see's my Q, he Es immediately to dodge and/or come get me. I've tried Wing his escape but he can still dash into the W, just not out of it (is this a bug or...?), so it doesn't work like I'd like it to. The more annoying thing is as soon as I poison minions to E them, he windwalls and I miss cs AND I don't get health or mana back from E kills. He's more annoying rather than an actual problem, but I thought I'd add him anyway. I favor
against him with his double crit chance.
- I have no mobility, her wall makes things complicated. I can't wear boots, making her stun hard to dodge. Her ult makes me even slower. She outranges me by far, and (when landing the stun) can seriously out-do me. Haven't yet gone up against her, but I imagine if I go Cass vs Anivia, I'm gonna have a bad time (yes, that is the south park quote)
Lastly,
- Haven't played against him as Cass yet, but I imagine its more of an annoying matchup rather than a one-sided one. His high mobility seems like it would make it hard to land my poisons, but I'm not 100% sure about his all in potential. I can farm from a decent distance away, if he wants me he'll have to use at LEAST one of his mobility moves, so there's that. I've just seen so many Fizz outplays that I am a little scurred. Anyone have insight for me on this matchup? I feel I'd take
to counter his high-damage ult, especially if he has good aim and gets a max one on me.
AT THIS POINT you can see I favor summoners that help me not lose vs summoners that help me win. Normally I'd agree that this is disaster, but for Cass I feel this is defending her weaknesses: low mobility and squishiness. She does plenty of damage on her own and has poisons AND I typically run Deathfire, so why do I need ignite? Also, she's not an early-game champ, and I feel ignite is best in early game, and horrible late. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them. Also, if any of you play Cass and have a bad experience with an unmentioned champion, please say something so I can prepare for it :) Thanks!
