Thoughts on Voice Chat
A voice chat in League of Legends would be difficult to monitor, however there are ways around this.
- A mute button
- An option in options like the all chat option in order to use voice chat
- A group making feature where you can choose to talk to certain people in game rather then everyone on your team; and stay in chat with them until one of the two ending screens read defeat.
- An option in the reports to report toxicity over mic
- The ability to be banned from voice chat just like you can be banned from normal chat.
I think a voice chat would help a lot of people in League to communicate better; but it also is a hellhole of people who will just abuse the system and make everything worse for everyone. We need strict rules for a voice chat in league because the rules in the chat box are thrown all over the place; You can't censor bad words in a voice chat environment like you can in the chat box. I've heard a lot of people suggesting the implementation of the honor system for the voice chat but I doubt that would help. People beg for honor now; Imagine what they'd throw around if they had to get an honor for voice chat. Voice chat isn't a bad idea on paper but with the people I see in league it might not be the best thing for league. [slayer-jinx-unamused]
