Please Don't Overdo Jhin Buffs

And have to nerf him again right after.

Being able to root with W off Q and R is already a potentially powerful buff for early / midgame fights.

The additional scaling on Q and his passive might be too much for a champion that will deal an extra 200-400 damage with those numbers..

He can't even kill a squishy with one rotation of abilities (not including ult) and his 4 autos at any point in the game because of all the fucking shields.

I've had success by building him full crit(IE first, into RFC, Shiv, PD, then whatever's needed afterward) Your autos do a lot of damage, and so do your abilities. I really don't want them to buff Jhin and then nerf something to make him worse. Although late game most ADCs can basically right click you down while you're waiting to auto them, but you have so much movement speed and damage that you can basically 2 shot them(one shot almost kills them, the second finishes them off) if I recall, and you still do quite a lot of damage to tanks as well.

Most crit build variants seem to be pretty good imo.

The folks that struggle in my experience are the ones that still try building lethality Jhin while not fed and the enemy has tanks / champs that can peel / heal / shield.

On the other hand, the guy you replied to doesn't even play Jhin.

I'm mastery 7 80k points on him but ok w/e buddy and I never build lethality on Jhin, even when it was super broken. Crit just feels too good.

Yeah I do that same thing it doesn't work

Maybe it's because you're trying to play him like a lane bully(like Lethality Jhin), instead of a late game ADC who needs to scale. He's not that good early with crit(also most people for some reason build swifties because it's suggested but if you think about it item 3006 gives him more AD AND more kiting). I also go lethal tempo on him, because it gives up to like 100 AD or more late game. It's mainly because I like to move like a madman, but it works too. He doesn't seem to be that good for me until I get item 3031 item 3006 item 3094 then I start scaling. After I get item 3087, I become crazy. When I get 100% crit, nearly unstoppable. Btw I max W instead of Q first, then I max Q second and E last. It just seems better to have a long lasting root than a bit more damage on my grenades, even if it does help me farm better. Junglers can't screw you near as hard if they're rooted for a long time and it allows you to escape, and it helps for chasing too.

I know what he does lmao. I don't play him like a lane bully aside from the occasional 4th shot poke. I never build anything other than item 3047 or item 3111 for boots. I always run fleet footwork on him because once you get shiv + rfc it heals for like 250+. I usually get 100% crit but sometimes I need item 3026 , item 3156 , or item 3036 so I can't. I max q first but just for the farming, like you said, but I'll try maxing w first some time. Idk man I just find that every other adc has so much attack speed that in the time it takes you to get your 4th shot, you're pretty much dead.

Personally, I prefer getting Q first just because of potential bounce damage. Setting minions up in lane before fights happen can get a bit tricky, but I find that it's helpful even if I just use the enemy support to bounce Q onto the ADC.

As soon as people start roaming, I immediately change to ranking W. I would rank it sooner, but it's too easy to dodge imo if the opponents are paying attention and my allies aren't applying any cc.

The bounce damage doesn't seem that amazing to me compared to the W. The W is something you can control a lot easier, and can cause some nice kills if you get someone low and they think they can back. It has surprising snipe potential imo if you max it. Especially once you get some damage(which every bit of my build usually gives plenty of). I honestly don't play him a **whole **lot(I play Katarina more than anything else), but every time I have, if I am allowed to scale, I do a lot of damage and can't be caught. Unless it's by a lethality Jarvan with mobi boots and a Yoummu's -.-. But yeah, I don't understand why Riot(and a lot of players) prefer building swifties when Berserker's Greaves gives him more damage, and more kiting. Sure you have to hit someone to get the kiting, but if you have 100% crit it seems like the better option. Jhin himself even has something to say about it, but it feels so much better to me on him.

I should also mention my secondary tree is Gathering Storm and Magical Hat, and I go alacrity for the extra damage from precision(If I know I can win my lane I go Celerity instead of Gathering Storm, but neither is bad).

So you do play Jhin. My apologies. I only check ranked.

I'm mastery 7 481k mastery points.
