I really like the way Jhin's ult interacts with the game and with the player. It makes him really FEEL like a sniper. Another champ who has that intended feel (and consequently the same style ultimate) is Xerath.
If you were to make Xerath's ult have the same zoom out effect, I think it would greatly help this champion fit it's role better, while also being more forgiving to newer players. It would be awesome if Xerath could share the sniper niche with Jhin.
i think a rioter said they cant do it with xerath because is a longer range ulti and zooming out that amount of distance will brake someones FPS while ulting
I felt this way the instant I used Jhin's ult. Like "dammmmnnnn xer is missing out on the fun" Since Xer's is all the way around him I could see an issue with everything appearing too small, but maybe zoom out to the same scale as Jhin's and let him be able to move the cam around.
I think Meddler touched on this subject. It had something to do with that if it zoomed out entirely the game becomes so pixelated or the zoom becomes so large you can't see the champions. But I agree, I wish they'd done it.
I wish that Xerath's ult was cool enough to warrant something like this.
Unfortunately having the map zoom out to view the entire rift (which is also apparently unfeasible with current tech) would probably just make using it even harder.
