Precisely this, however she's not OP.

She's actually fairly average for a mage.

It's just that she punishes immobility soo well, and people's favorite "meta" mid laners are immobile.

It's like, super obvious why she has a high winrate, because people counterpick themselves by picking an immobile champ into Ahri.

Btw Ahri was one of the strongest midlaners in the game in Season 3 when champs like Zed and Fizz were standard picks in competitive play....so I dont know what bullshit you are making up here.

She was a top tier pick in Season 3 when the best midlaners were Kassadin, Zed and Fizz. Really immobile. This already completely debunks your silly argument so you can just stop replying.

This is what you said...now I will give you a detailled response explaining why it is a poor strawman and you should feel bad about it.

I said Ahri has had 50%+ since patch 5.2...Idk how you then conclude to "Ahri has always been good since release"...her relase was on patch V1.0.0.131 which was in December 2011. But of course you can't know cause you werent playing back then.
If you had actually read the thread I posted you woulda know that I did not say "lets nerf her cause shes always been good" but I gave a detailed explanation what parts of her make her so good and why she needs to be nerfed. Go back and read it if you haven't.
Her kit does as well vs mobile mages as vs it does vs immobile mages (or champions in general). This was proven in Season worlds (refer to what I wrote above)

Conclusion: You made a retarded strawman post and showed how little you know about the game. Now I know I can ignore posts from you in the future cause they will be just as retarded.

Personally, I find Aurelion Sol to be pretty good against her. I can poke her down in lame and get tanky enough to the point where her spells just tickle me.

Yeah she has pretty bad damage against tanks. They shrug off pretty much anything she throws at them except maybe the true damage, but it still really isn't enough.

She should be nerfed/reworked because she is incredibly generalist and will never be a bad pick unless she is gutted or seriously out performed. Last I checked she was 53% winrate with a 11% playrate, which on a champion like Yasuo, would get people screaming to disable them for a hotfix.

Yasuo is disliked becuase he can effectively deny your efforts to fight him.

Ahri doesn't do this.

She overlaps a lot of niches. She has good wavelcear, CC, mobility, lane sustain, good poke, and strong single target damage. That's a lot of niches to fill at once. Chances are, no matter who you are playing, Ahri could probably do about the same job in mid lane, if not better.

Except her AOE damage is subpar and she does peanut damage to tanks as the game goes on.

She is designed to get in, kill a squishy, and get out.

She loses in the AOE damage department and the DPS department to other a lot of other mages.

and how is it wrong that she is a generalist? and why should she be made into a bad pick? it's silly

you realize that if she is not banned she is not perceived as a problem? she is just safe, that's why she has a good winrate and that is why she is not complained about

why do you think everybody should be feast or famine like yasuo, riven, kat, lb etc? it's those who are whined of, and it is those who are not very healthy for the game. ahri has one of the best kits because it is effective, fun and doesn't make players want to ban her from their games i.e. fun to play against too

ahri definitely isn't the only champion like that, there are a few champs with stable high winrates which are not usually complained of like annie or amumu/rammus
