Anivia auto attacks feel very clunky

been playing some anivia in norms because seeing that she can actually hit 100% ap ratios on both Q and E was kinda of alluring.

however...her auto attacks feel very bad, the windup feels really long and the missile speed very slow. sometimes even when it looked like I did get the lat hit, it didn't. could we get some QOL over to our favorite frozen bird and smooth things out for her a bit? Just because she's made of ice doesn't mean she should move at actual frozen speeds

Yea she has one of the worst auto attacks and because of that her farming pre-6 is very annoying unless you use your Q to last hit with. The funny thing is, that her auto attack missile speed got buffed back in Season 4, and it's still feels like hell to last hit with, it used to be much worse back in Season 3. I've been an Anivia main since I started League back in Season 3 and the way I deal with it is usually go with AP and Mana regen rune page and just use your Q to last hit when needed to, once you reach level 6 with item 3070 item 3010 then you should generally be fine to just use your ultimate to farm with.

I think the only champion who has an even worse feeling auto attack is Karthus but he has his Q that he usually farms with and his E is also pretty good and he gets mana back so in the end even he isn't so bad. Though I have heard a lot of people saying Swain is also pretty annoying to farm with to.

I was actually doing a bit of swain before they messed with his root and his is a bit better. Of course it's still kinda painful to look at, but you could feel that it was definitely not at anivia's level of cringe.

Ah ok, yea I don't play Swain to much so I didn't know exactly how bad it is. Though I guess maybe the people I've heard complain about Swain's farming might of been towards his wave clear in the later parts of the game, since most of his abilities are single target and his only real wave clear is his ultimate which eats away on his mana. Anivia's mana cost on her ultimate is much higher than Swain unless Swain had his ultimate up for a while and since Swain usually just gets RoA as his only mana item compared to Anivia's RoA + Seraph's lol.

some swains get tear/seraphs as well, also swain's passive restores mana on minion kill so his sustain is somewhat better than anivias, so you can pop his ult for a few seconds, clear the wave, then turn it off and you lost probably no mana, it's just that the cost scales up the longer you leave it on
