And you felt so passionately about Riven needing toning down that you posted on a low level smurf? Or recognized that you're probably the only Diamond player that thinks Riven needs a nerf?

listing the things in someones kit doesnt make an argument on whether or not they are op. I could do that with anyone. For example, gangplank.

passive with perma slow
ranged nuke that applies on hit effects.
remove all cc and heal for a large amount
gives all allies more ad and movespeed
aoe ult that permaslows listing his abilities like that makes his kit sound great but gangplank is far from great. Make an actual argument before you post something like this.

It's actually correct though. Gangplank's Q is a ranged attack...that acts entirely as a melee basic attack. It applies the full slow of Iceborn Gauntlet, full speed boost from Trinity Force, and will use the Cleave effect from Ravenous Hydra. It is literally a ranged melee basic attack.

And your missing the point . they are not anywhere near the same as gp. Gp q is a ranged basic attack that counts as melee. None of the champs you named are anywhere near what gp q is and does

But their poke triggers the melee procs just like GP's do since they are melee champs.

Yes, any MELEE champ with a poke can pretty much do that.

You have no idea. What your talking about. Gps q the shot will proc ravenous hydra , and spell blade because it counts as a basic attack

I researched it. Any melee champion with a dash will proc them. Abilities that hit more than once will proc on each hit. Fiora and WW's ults will proc them. Yasou's Steel Tempest will proc them.

So GP and Yas are the only ones who can proc them from range unless you count dashes.

I try to comment in these nerf riven threads whenever i see them because I strongly believe the solution is to remove animation cancelling and buff her.

her design is just currently against alot of riots buzzwords.

Feast or Famine - they don't like it but she totally is.

Burden of Knowledge - don't know how to animation cancel? she loses alot of viability.

Counterplay - her animation cancelling, when done properly, removes alot of the counterplay options beyond don't enter her zone of influence.

Interesting Decisions - there are lots of fancy things you can do as riven, and intricate decision making is needed to play her well. However you remove the majority of decisions from your opponent since an animation cancelling riven can gap close faster, and unload her entire kit during the stun and knock-up duration by using one q(cancel)-e as a gap closer.

I think you said it best. An average riven isn't that hard to deal with but one whose mechanically adept with animation cancelling is stupid. There she is in your face doing her fancy, high-damaging combo and you can't retaliate in any way whatsoever because you're either stunned or are currently knocked up. You can't flash, can't heal, can't even do your own rotation because you're getting cc'ed while simultaneously dying. I've never even thought about that before but buffing her kit while removing her toxic animation-cancelling is actually very sensible.
