Let Me Tell You A Story
This looks like a normal game right? Somewhat longer than average perhaps, but pretty standard. What if I told you I started this game 0/6? or that our team had 0 turrets while they had 5, or that I didn't hit 100 cs until almost 17 minutes into the game? This is a game that showcases the power of 3 things:
-
A positive mental attitude. Everyone on my team was positive through the match. No one flamed me for feeding, no one yelled at the jungler for not ganking, there was only one surrender vote, and for the most part chat was either quiet or encouraging. I say this because it happens rarely (unfortunatley), and even more rarely in plat. This is the benefit of having a positive attitude.

DO NOT get cocky. The enemy team was, for lack of a better word, absolutely destroying us in the early and midgame. But instead of playing smart and slowing starving us out, they decided to take to all chat to mock and spammed emotes at us. At one point the Lux even flashed at me for no reason then stood and laughed. Look, there's nothing wrong with friendly banter, but karma's a bitch. Talk shit get hit.

When you say "We win late," that means LATE game. I see a lot of people in games saying "well we can't win because they're so far ahead." When everyone is at 5-6 items, it doesn't matter if you're 10-0 or 0-10. You are outputting your max amount of damage regardless of your kda at that point. Feeding early definitely hinders your ability to get to late, but if you can stall it out it really doesn't matter anymore. Now don't take this as an excuse to say 'well just get to late" when you're feeding your ass off, RECOGNIZE that you are feeding and try to play smarter, but late game is almost always a straight 50-50.
We won this game because we played smart, we played nice, and we played to our comps strength, while the other team lost because they got cocky and made mistakes without caring about their impact. Thank you for reading, I hope this helps you in some way, and good luck on the Rift!
