While I don't mute people unless they start raging, pings are generally sufficient for communication.

Some of us need to do it so we don't tilt our team.

Also - don't pretend everyone pays as much attention to chat as you do. I fall for that trick many games.

Who even really cares that this is a team game anymore? Especially since a heavy focus has always been put on solo SR 5v5 ranked, the main game mode/map, players only have individual goals to work for. They only reason players cooperate with teammates is to win, but even a better chance of winning isn't enough a lot of the time.
