Should I switch my main to Zyra

So tl:dr I decided to Otp tristana. Tristana scales best late game in my opinion and has various spikes, but honestly trusting your teammates not to fuck up at any point in the game, and even more YOURSELF is so risky. Trist has her strengths, but reality sneaks in. Zyra on the other hand I haven't experimented with. I know she can cover most lanes in some form, would you recommend her for a otp? I main adc, supp , and mid so she fits in my roles. Her damage ratios seemed pretty normal, and I can see her as alternating between supp, and mid even if behind. What are thoughts behind such. Would you rate Zyra as strong for solo queue High Silver Low Gold? Edit: i like how I said Tl:Dr and then wrote a paragraph.

Zyra is really fun control mage. She relies on her plants for damage. It's really hard to gank her since she can place plants near the bushes or just set up a ton in lane and release around 8 and ult, which increases their attack speed by 50%. Even if you do die in a gank your plants usually get a kill or two after you die. That and she has a ton of AoE damage.
