Can we talk about nerfs and the PBE 7.16

In case you didn't read the patch notes, zac's q current % hp cost was doubled and cdr raised by 1s, and his w dmg lowered by 15 dmg. Meanwhile, cho'gath's e dmg was lowered by 20 (+1% max hp) at max rank. I'd like to argue 2 things: zac's nerfs will lower his win-rate, but won't balance him; and how cho should be nerfed again.

First, Zac spams the f**k out of his w. Assuming a hard leash is 780 dmg and light leash is 390, zac uses 6-4 w (24-16% current hp) (~620-410 mdmg). I had 500-300 hp remaining. Without a leash, I used 7 w, but was at 150hp. Because Zac uses his w more, he loses much more health, and the lower base dmg means his clear is slower. Furthermore, the large amount of healing he got from his q is gone (8% max hp minus 4% current hp to 4% max hp minus 4% current hp. This impacts his early game clear and his sustain throughout the game, but does effect why Zac is a huge nuisance in teamfights and ganks. His e allows his to engage from 1200 to 1800. How far is 1800? You can jump from over the enemy nexus into theirfountain platform, or from blue's red buff to center of the dragon pit, which is why most zac max this first. By providing such long-range engage, it sets up for his team's other cc. His q is so good a peeling and ganking. The two parts have decent range (800 and 200). Unless the adc has a twitch ult, zac pull them to his front line, which I'm sure everyone, sans the adc's team (maybe not the support), appreciates. In addition, u can peel ur backline as well.

I propose Zac's w nerf be reverted while his q 7.15 nerf stays with a nerf over his initial cast range to 700 range, and lower his e range by 100 - 200 at max rank. This will make his 1st jungle clearing less cruel but reduce his impact in teamfights.

Now for discount shoggoth. The nerfs to his e do affect his early trades, but his ult and itemization are a larger problem. His synergy with stoneplate and cinderhulk is at best broken and at worse a bannable offence for the guy who thought this should go on the live server. One reason why his hp scaling truth dmg ult (think a darius ult that scales with defense) was ignored is cho, until recently, couldn't reach the carries easily.

  1. His rupture can be dodged.
  2. His silence can be buggy or misleading.
  3. He's really slow (345ms).

But with his e's slow and the new righteous glory, he's fast as F*&^T boi can reach the backline more easily to one-shot them. Rip XxBallsLover69xX. She couldn't outplay cho'gath with her ult. I propose we make cho'gath ult scale not on his health but his feast stacks, and that he can lose a quarter or third of his stacks from dying. This would mean if you set cho behind and focus him, he's not much a threat, much like mana-hoy pre-work gp, but leave him alone and he'll show you his elder thing late game with his high utility, dmg, and hp, like nasus with 400 stacks.

I bring these guys up because Zac is going to pop up again in next years tank meta with similar problems, and CHO'GATH IS NOT GETTING NERFED IN THE PBE RIGHT NOW. Seriously, maokai's e is lossing 1.5% max hp dmg on his e, but cho isn't getting touched. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. [zombie-brand-facepalm]

Well, that's all I got for now. Please comment, converse and critique, and glisq (get lucky in some quiver). I think that's what the acronym means...[slayer-pantheon-rainbows] I really should not make posts next to the fumehoods. I can smell the methanol and dms.

Edit: I reconsidered that if cho loses stacks, his ult cd should be half when killing a non-champion with his ult to help him farm stacks a little easier.

Zac's numbers are for sure not the damage but the CC his kit can provide. Nerfing his long range engage is one way to nerf him but it's a core to his concept. I would rather revert Zac before I lose some of my engage range but what can you do. Sucks to be made broken by Riot.

Cho shouldn't lose stacks. You are a tank and should be dying so losing stacks will just punish you for playing your role. The amount he gains should be massively nerfed so it's not one shotting people. Another touch to cho is his abilities have been massively reduced by cooldown lately. In a fight you can fire off your abilities a lot lately so maybe nerfing the cooldowns a bit would help out.
