@Meddler, What are your plans for Brand?
I have been a long time lurker, and only this past season have I begun to be active on the boards, mostly due to the Mord rework. I can no longer play him in top/mid as I wish, but it seems like soon that will change. I am excited for that.
But this thread is about Brand. I have mained him for quite a while now as I love his playstyle. I never thought he was overbearing as he has very clear strengths and weaknesses. Now that FQC was buffed and DFT is in the game, Brand has become very strong in Mid and Supp. The synergy of Brands passive and DFT is what seems to be the worst offender pushing him above the "fine" line of nerfs and balance. I do not want another one of my favorite champs (Mord and Olaf are the other two) to be dumpstered due to new items Riot has put in.
So Meddler, what are your plans for Brand? We know that he is going to be nerfed. But where are you looking? What numbers? I REALLY hope that his damage isn't obliterated to make him unplayable or to straight up push him into supp. Mana costs? He already has high mana costs. Low scaling, high base abilities is what he is known for, hence all of the MR shred he builds.
The most recent buff he received was for his ult where if the original target becomes untargetable or dies it finds a new target, and if not possible, refunds mana and CD, although there have been many times that my CD never refunds. With his niche role that is now becoming a simple "synergy with new changes with high base stats but low scalings" he has become FOTM and it makes me worried.
So please, Meddler, Scruffy, Katey, whomever. Let us know what plans there are in store for Brand. And for the love of christ, do not destroy him like what happened to Mord. I want to be able to have at least two champs that I can play without being at a sore disadvantage, without having to wait months and many, many, many patches until they are viable again.
I know i'll get flack for this post since most people now are crying "Brand OP" [zombie-brand-facepalm] . He has never been a problem before. This is just like the Sej and cinderhulk issue all over again. Hopefully Riot learned from that.
