Someone please explain to me how Kindred's kit is recycled

I keep hearing people say "lol 3 AAs and a dash so new rito xddd". I mean it's not like it was a unique mechanic before. That's like me complaining that a new champion has a stun when so many other champs have one too.

And I can't really think of any other ult that's quite like his ult. It doesn't perform the same function as Bard or Janna ult in a teamfight. His W is also really unique.

This community just loves to complain about stuff. When the hype about Kindred dies down, they'll find something else.

Same here. Especially since I can't log in, I'm pretty much just typing in random stuff that interests me to see what the boards have to say about them.

It's not so much 'recycled' as 'wasted'. This was a champion that had a lot of good potential for a double champion, something like Quinn and Valor that actually works. Instead, we ended up with a jungling Lulu and Pix.

This is exactly what I thought! I had such grand visions of what they could do and was amped by the teaser. So dull... I'm sure I'll buy him but only because of a surplus if IP.

because people need to complain about something

3 AA bonus damage is getting really old...especially when it's %maxhealth.

Wait, wouldn't of been 'they' because it's to equal entities being as one champ? I'm still kind of confused on that :I

People were expecting something more creative (). Dash + 3 autos for max hp is getting boring,

I think its because they were expecting something so cool that utilize 2 champions and it is so unique. When I saw this it was like it didnt seem interesting at all. It made me feel that this champion is the same as other.

3 AA, mobility, %max health, overloaded kit, I might be scratching the surface of something.

DrCyanide1 votes

3 AA... but only immediately after using one ability, and only on one target at a time after said ability. What other champion has that?

Overloaded kit... where? The closest thing to an overloaded ability (singular) in that kit is the W:

  • Passively gives health after moving so far and attacking
  • Damage steroid inside a certain radius
  • Q cooldown reduction by 2 seconds

But an overloaded kit implies that there are more abilities than one that are overloaded. Considering the cross team, non-damaging utility of Kindred's ultimate, the damage in the W could be seen as a way to to make up that damage to a carry.

% Max Health is the only thing you've managed to pull out so far.

Because it's not on par with tahm, bard and ekko.

Maybe is just me but this champion screams another Ekko to me by looking at somes of his abilities.

I don't really get it either. Other then whining.

Yes, you can look at it as a bunch of recycled abilities. "Oh it s a marking passive, that's like Warwick's Bloodscent."

"Oh it scales her infinitely, in theory. It's just Veigar/Nasus."

"Oh she has a dash that shoots out three projectiles. It's just Ahri ult with one use. but AD."

"Oh her W is kind of like a reverse Zyra ultimate zone+a plant... With a passive that's basically a Fiora passive and a Yasuo passive combined...Sorta."

"Her E is a targeted slow, its just a crappy Nasus W that can proc a crappy Vayne passive."

"Her ult is kind of like....something. I guess bard. Or Kayle. Or something. It looks annoying. I'm not sure how to use it. I bet a Bard/Kindred lane will accidently lose lane by misusing their ults nonstop or something."

"They're boring looking. Another humanoid. Bleagh. Wow Riot, way to go. Let's ignore how this is the first anthropomorphic female champion, the amazing thematics behind her, her adorable movements, how beautiful Wolf is, and how there is totally a Telltale's Walking Dead joke hidden in her lines."

Also not sure how people aren't seeing that she doesn't seem to actually be designed as a lategame carry, or a carry at all. Her current kit lacks good scaling.

They're fairly unique all around, people are just crying for the sake of crying, not much more explanation then that.

This new champion is a disappointment.

I disliked Ekko character at first, I still have some disapproval but this Kindred profoundly disappointing.

I dont get why people are saying this community likes to complain about stuff, when in reality, this community is pretty lax compared to Wow's community who will cry bloody murder if a class gets half a stat of a stat reduced.

Because there's no new mechanics being introduced. Yasuo had a unique mechanic. Zed has a unique mechanic. Bard has a unique mechanic. Kalista had a unique mechanic (broken as fuck but unique).

This champion was just taking a bunch of already existing mechanics and throwing them together.

Kindred's ult is basically an AOE Tryndamere ult that negates heals and keeps both sides alive.
