Quality of life change for Galio and other defensive enhancer types

Would it kill to allow some enhancement type buffs into the ring of heals/shields procs. All I wish is to be able to play Galio and have Ardent censor proc on his shield or even the new Athenes Unholy Grail. They pretty much killed mid Galio with that change to the item as he relied heavy on it to mana sustain in lane, the least they can do is buff him in some way to make up for it like lower mana cost or something.
