Possible Buff for Galio?

I recently bought Debonair Galio for the sake of completion of the Debonair skins. However I've been playing him mid recently, and he is always out-poked (if thats a term) by ranged mid champions IE ecetera. His kit has some pretty long range pokes, but due to large mana costs and his Q having a small circumference it is harder for him to hit his intended targets and to lane efficiently. Also his basic attack is a punch (A punch? Really? From a flying gargoyle who casts long range pokes?) which has rather low damage early and late game. I've been thinking maybe give him a ranged basic attack, and maybe make his Q one of those ON HIT abilities similar to Annie's Q, give it the same circumference and a lower magic cost throughout. Any thoughts?
