Need a better minimap

I've been pondering this, and I recently switched my map from the right to the left. Being a lefty. And I have to say I can't stop clicking the stupid thing. This was a problem when the map was on the right as well. So my idea is we fix it. We can make the map see through or add an opaqueness option just for that and instead of simple point and click and go on the map. We make it so you hold down the control button in order to move around on the mini map instead of possible killing yourself in a fight. Good idea?
