What Is Wrong With The Grading System?

I don't really understand how the grading system works. So many games I've felt are S+ worthy material, that even when I get an S I'm like, the hell? When someone has the highest kill participation in the game, a relatively good amount of damage, the most wards placed, and even only one death, how does that result in an S-? There are dozens of games I, as well as I'm sure everyone else, could refer to when talking about the grading system being messed up, but this one in particular really baffled me. Rito, mind explaining why the system is so phenomenally strict and messed up? Especially when I got an S in a 0/2/13 game where my kill participation was only a 50%. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2257683430/219283404?tab=overview

TL;DR - Could the system be made just... better?

The grading isn't based on how well you did compared with the other players in the game The grading is based on how well the champion you are playing does on average

So if you are playing a champion who is really weak and almost never get any kills or assists and usually have lots of deaths... then just having a game with few deaths and some kills and assists might be good enough for a high grade

(also grades probably aren't just based of kills/deaths/assists but what the other factors are I don't know)
