Since you don't need 99999999 million hours to choose what champions to ban, it would make MUCH more sense if you could make it more freeing.....it just doesn't seem balanced AT ALL to have you wait so long in a lobby and lose rank if you dodge the game. You should be able to freely leave at any point and not waste anyone's time.
