Nami gets a huge utility buffs while Sona remains untouched

Surging Tides (Passive) movement speed bonus for allies when hit by a spell increased to 60 from 40. Tidal Wave (R) [new effect] "Allies hit by the wave gain double the effect of Surging Tides"

This is a freaking huge buff for Nami and it makes her have extreme utility and easy engages if she uses her ult. Imagine her with Sivir and Righteous Glory in the same team.

Sona still remains untouched. Her E has 350 range and it's so small that you need to touch your ally to have the movement speed.

Give Sona utility buffs for her E. More movement speed, lower cooldown, lower mana cost, increased AP ratio, bigger self buff movement speed, bigger movement speed buff for allies, ANYTHING for this ability!

Sona

well i guess i good buff to start off with for sona would be to buff her "aura" range so that she doesnt get blown up in team fights then buff her base heal or her base shield and give her speed bost an ap scale and make it last longer

She's a terribly designed champion and she needs another rework.

Sona is fine. You just need to play her mostly AP support. She relies on her damage to make an impact in the game and combined with her ultimate to do well in teamfights. Unlike other supports, just building support items does not work for her.

Ah yes, because people want this to be buffed.

Sona would have to stop being an auto lock champion to get buffs that wouldn't make her op, she's just one of those champs.

I used to main Sona before her nerfs and a while after them, which I believe was still during the time assassins pretty much fulfilled every role but Support.

I think Sona could use small buffs. While I will say that she's a surprisingly strong mid laner since her Q/Passive combo can literally one shot someone on top of Lich Bane, her Supporting ability isn't the best. I would say make her E stronger, lower the mana costs on her W, and also buff her W shield duration.

It was suggested in another thread that sona should receive better choices for her passive (specifically diminuendo and tempo). Diminuendo needs more noticeable effects, both visually and performance wise. Tempo was suggested to have its slow get stronger with every rank, and at rank 5 turned into a root. making her passive types have better effects makes her not only more reliable, but makes her play smarter. If you need damage, go with a Q to proc staccato. If you need to win a fight through less brute force and instead weakening the opponent, use W to proc diminuendo. If you need to chase or escape, but don't want to possibly whiff your ult, proc tempo. buffing her passive to have better utility instead of putting it on her actual abilities is a very plausible take on giving her extra oomph without making her outclass anyone else.

(though I will say, her W and E still do need some sort of small buff. a little bit less mana and/or more oomph would be nice.)

I think that since only one ability is offensive in any way outside of her ult (and passive) she could stand to see a couple buffs but she may not get anything major for awhile for obvious reasons. A simple yet powerful buff is to make her ultimate get buffs by last spell use much like her passive does now, and was proposed pre rework. Not sure why it was considered a bad idea, alot of champs are ult dependent on getting solo kills so why would it be bad if she was too?

Proposed changes pre rework

Hymn of Valor modification: Sona's ult duration makes enemies take 10% more damage Aria of perseverance modification: Sona's ult Stops health regen and doubles surrounding allies health regen for 3 seconds after the ult duration Song of Celerity modification: Sona's ult slows the attack speed of enemies for 3 seconds after the ult duration and increases the attack speed of nearby allies.

Gonna leave this out here sona is cancerous to play against in s1/s2 nobody wants her buffed. She is a champ that when buffed community will riot for ages.

I agree she needs SOMETHING! Whether it's some buffs/changes to her utility abilities or maybe even a near ground up redo. She's either a gift from the gods of old or completely useless and is reported no matter what she actually did.

She just needs some kind of change, wasn't her current state supposed to be a "temporary change" anyways?

Earl Eulrich8/10/2015, 10:52:22 AM1 votes

yea, sona dirly needs a buff to finally reach a stable 60%winrate -.- her e already is one of the strongest abilities in the game, if you don´t see that better stay away from playing Sona.

Machaggis8/10/2015, 11:03:44 AM1 votes

Sona can spam heals that shield people in range, she's got a line stun, aoe movespeed buff how much more utility does she need.
