Should there be a longer queue time to get a position you want?

I think there should be an option to queue longer if you only want a position, every game in ranked i want to play mid but its been about 12 games of getting my secondary in a ROW. this usually just happens with mid or top as they are the most popular roles, but Riot might want to give this a thought. the way it would work is opposite of auto-fill were you could select a button that makes you always get the position you want. the problem is it would make the queue times longer but if you only want to play say mid you could do so. whats your thoughts.

It's an interesting idea, but honestly I think that if you were able to disable yourself from being auto-filled then a large portion of people would do it, and would eventually cause a snowballing effect where the people who don't disable it would end up being auto-filled even more often than what occurs now. It would almost be the equivalent to just picking fill now, minus protection for a game or two before you're filled again.

Those people would then start to enable it, and eventually it would just reach the point where they would need to remove the ability to disable autofill, or remove autofill completely. Then as people do, they would start to complain about their queue times being too long for in demand roles.

Since all roles are not equally popular there will always need to be auto-fill to keep queue times reasonable, especially in higher MMR. Just a matter of finding the balance of how long the system will leave you in queue looking for a match before it starts filling people.
