What happened to Rek'Sai? Why dont people play Him anymore?

I'm gonna preface this with this -------------> ''I Do Not Read The Patch Notes''

Okay, so I just played a game of rek'sai, I was jg (of course) I got invaded early, I didn't die but I had to back so I got no leash, sorta fricking up my early game, then shyvana showed up at my red buff later and almost killed me again, forcing me to back. Both Stuff AND Things happened and I ended making a large impact on the game carrying my team 12/2/13 S Rank. So I wanted to know why people stopped playing him. Is he supposed to be bad or something or are there just better champs like hec?

(Ps. I am fully aware rek'sai technically a ''female champ'' but until I'm shown a vagina he's a guy)

From Rek'Sais biography from the official universe page. Rek'Sai even has the title of the queen of the Xer'Sai. Sorry, but Rek'Sai definitely is a female voidling, not male, several times officially stated by Riot.

Dude, you're being a jerk about the gender thing. If someone makes something and tell you she's female, she's female unless stated otherwise. Genitalia have nothing to do with it.

Had to upvote simply for the gender comment LOL, and the reason not many people play reksai right now isnt because hes bad at the moment, its just because hes not the best, hes like middle of the pact as a jungler. People now a days, im sure you know, are playing junglers like khazix, vi, hecarim, graves, etc. So hes still a solid champ atm but hes just not considered a meta pick and a lot of people for better or worse only play the meta

She got nerfed along with Gragas since they were the only 2 junglers picked for a while, she's still viable just not as strong in a meta where champs like Vi Rengar Hecarim and Khaz are extremely effective

Again, you shouldn't over-generalize. There must be people who enjoy playing against a Kha, just like people enjoy playing against ryze or talon or something.

Or, no one enjoys facing certain champs that vary from person to person.

idk about vi, khaz either, but rengar is pretty balanced, yeah his ult is super dangerous but unless he gets into a bush, a gank with no ult does nothing, not to mention if he goes 0/3 he's completely useless the rest of the game

Any player with a brain won't gank without a bush, and even if he goes 0/37 aslong as he gets like 2 items your adc is instantly dead

Rek'Sai is pick or ban in pro play. Most people are not pros and she isn't as good in solo queue.

The reason is that because unlike other junglers such as Rengar, Khazix, and Yi she is severely lacking in a damage output (not to say she does no damage, but she certainly can't do as much as many of them), and unlike nunu, she doesn't have enough powerful cc or self healing to make up for it. Her fury alone can't sustain the amount of damage she'll be taking when she enters a fight, and besides her full fury E and ult, she doesn't do very much damage, and when the little bit of damage you can do is on cooldown, you are very vulnerable. She definitely is not useless and in the right hands can change games, but for the average person her capabilities are simply underwhelming compared to others in her class.
