Skipping elos?

So this was a thought. It hasnt happened yet cause i havent been in the situation this season yet till now. I am just now in G4 series, with a 72% win ratio. Nothin but climbin bois. I just main support. I main pyke (im that ass hole.) done nothing but go up and my lp rn is 27-29 per win.

Is skipping elos still a thing this season? could i jump to G2 just through these series?

Was wondering if it has happened to anyone else yet or if u think it is gonna happen to me.
