Lissandra: Passive Rework Idea

Many Liss players know that her current passive is kind of boring and only compensates her early ridiculous Q mana cost. Also, the old mana flow band was a way better version of her passive. So I came up with a totally new approach:

P - Curse of the Iceborn: Lissandras spells apply "Curse of the Iceborn" to targets. If a cursed target suffers movement impairments (includes slows, stuns, roots, knock-ups, suppression etc BUT only from champion abilities) for 3 seconds within 6 seconds it is grounded for 2 seconds slowing it by 5/10/15/20%. 6 seconds cooldown per unit.

For Visuals I had in mind, that icy claws lock onto affected enemies, similar looking to her E.

This definitely amplifies her as a CC-lockdown mage and makes her the absolute assassin counter. Also, I would love to see her W being cast like Vlads E, where she is rewarded for not instantly using it.

EDIT: -Removed ability to re-apply the effect. -Duration lowered by 1 second. -Added that only champion abilities count towards movement impairments. -Lowered slow by 5% on all levels (1/6/11/16). -Added visual note.

I think this ability is a little too strong as written -- it's a grounded buff AND a slow for several seconds, and can be triggered by something as small as a slow, which means Rylai's/Frozen Mallet/Iceborn Guantlet/Glacial Augment/Ashe means that no one can use mobility spells ever.

If it was something like 1-2 seconds of grounded when a cursed target is hard CC'd, I think you'd be in a much better spot.

That sounds beyond broken. If people get both slowed and grounded, with a possibility of refreshing that, they're left with 0 options.

I'd rather something that hones her in as a battlemage. She has most of the common traits of the class including low cooldowns, self recovery/protection, and low range, but is categorized as a burst mage, presumably because she's gated by windows of usability with her passive.

Something that capitalizes on her combos which are normally restricted to pot shots by her mana.

Embodiment of Dark Ice: Lissandra gains stacks of Dark Ice by applying crowd control to enemies (Both abilities and effects from auto attacks or items). At 100 stacks, Lissandra gains Iceborn's Wrath for 4 seconds, causing her basic abilities to have a 50% reduced cooldown and cost no mana. Lissandra can not gain stacks of Dark Ice while Iceborn's Wrath is in effect.

Stacks gained: Slows: 4/8/12 at level 1/6/11 Roots and Stuns: 8/16/24 at level 1/6/11 Enemy minions and monsters grant 25% of the normal stack amount.

The concept is the same, but gives her more spaced out instances of higher power, rather than being largely a non-factor for both her and her opponent
