And i'm not just talking about the copious amount of micro transactions.

Flip a coin, if it lands on it's side you have a productive and co-operative team.

Champ select is like playing roulette. Is your team comp going to be more unfair than the enemy teams?

Patches which come out every 3 seconds are like playing the power ball... Oh and learning the new meta before it changes suddenly is like finding out a formula for guessing the winning numbers on a lottery ticket.

Solo carrying doesn't really exist anymore. If you can pull it off it is extremely tough to. It only takes one clown to ruin the whole charade.

I'm willing to bet most people who still play this game are just playing it because of their addiction to it. Not because it's fun.

What happened? Is it remotely possible to go back to the way things were? Does it even matter at this point?

So frustrating.

I'm around a 75% winrate recently. Just normals, practicing for ranked, but solo carrying is still a thing. But you have to earn it. There will be the occasional game way too heavy to carry, but it's way more possible than you're making it out to be.

You need your champs and builds and roles down, however. You need at least one Mastery 7-level main, and at least one role in which you can win your lane/position in solo phase three-quarters of the time or better - and I mean consistently, look at match records and games and really be honest about whether or not you carried the lane or got carried. Several champions at that level in each possible League role is better.

Skill cap for game is high, yo. Very hard to get good as well. Requires a lot of courage and personal honesty and learning to play through inexperience and the toxicity of the community when you are learning.

I do agree about the frenzy for patches not helping, though. I'd really like this game to not remake itself almost entirely in terms of items, builds, and runes every two years or so.
