Why, like 2 champs have a silence, instead of saying nerf silence just make another Soraka/Malzahar complaint thread

Why are silences in need of nerfs when they are just the side effect of stuns or Knockups without the actual part that prevents you from moving or doing anythign whatsoever?

Complete lack of meaningful counterplay from the outside since it also denies use of items. How am I supposed to save my (insert anyone here including myself since unless I have a Cleanse, there's no counterplay) when I can't do anything for (pretty hefty time from silence debuffs here).
