in this video, is a stream of scarra playing talon, if you watch scarra play he often talks about mechanics of the game while he plays, starting from 13:00 and the next minute, he talks about why he stop building tiamat on talon anymore. scarra builds stragiht armor pen. brutalizer, LW, YGB.

so i tried to use this build, although waveclear sucked compared to tiamat, i do realize YGB gives talon a huge power spike. I feel like if all your blades enjoy the armor pen, it might just be same as doing all ur combo without the armor pen and then using tiamat actice, so i was wondering is tiamat is really essential on talon?

Conceptually, I can understand why you can get away with it. AD champs already have an advantage in free waveclear, so assuming that you can afford to stomp with pure Arm.Pen., go for it.

The main reason you go for Tiamat on Talon is for the waveclear, extra AA, and AoE in teamfights. Although not that noticeable, it makes a difference in teamfights when most - if not all - of the damage you're dealing to your target is also being dealt as collateral. Overall, it really depends on what you replace it with in a build, because there are very few items capable of substituting the damage.

He could have also meant that he doesn't rush it anymore, which is basically how you order item pick-ups when you're that ahead.

If you stomp lane, just rush IE and 1 shot people with E+Q.

This is a pretty old video you know. Tiamat is useful in extended fights, so if you are ahead as talon you don't need it because you should be able to burst very quickly, but if you aren't the life-steal and extra animation will help so much in team fights. (and by ahead i mean like a first item yommu's straight into ie by 15-20 mins.)
