Jinx

Ok, let me explain everything really quick.

I started playing this game last Aug. and finally have gotten to the point of where i want to get better at the game. I started watching videos and viewing guides, taking a lot of time in custom games to get the hang on the game and tried out different lanes and characters. I've been doing this non-stop for about 2 months now.

However, the gameplay when it comes to PVP has not shown any progress.

I get ganked easily no matter where i ward. I keep running into games where not only do the players harass new people/inexperienced players, but belittle them to no end. I ask for help or for people to take me into games and SHOW me tips and tricks (not just watching videos, but actively SHOW and TEACH me the ends and outs of the game. I'm a very hands on kind of guy) with no results. The one friend i had who played lost internet, so i am stuck with total pain in the neck people. I get pitted against champions i am bad against, or can't figure out how to beat. My skill never seems to improve...and after countless hours of trying, i am at a loss for words on what else to do.

So i finally saved up and got Jinx, the character i think i would be best at (still have not tried everyone yet) and my games have dropped the last few times, either because of people dropping out, or for running builds to try out and getting harassed till i basically just about gave up (going 2-14-7 against Blitz/Ashe in bot with a so/so support).

I don't know what else to do. Watch my games, try to team work, push lanes, farm under turret; i don't get what i do wrong! And it is annoying to no end how i never seem to get better after countless hours of TRYING to. And i AM trying to. I am a very team-player kind of person, and can't, for the life of me, find teams worth playing with either. IN A TEAM BASED GAME.

...Kinda blowing off steam as well in case you didn't notice.

I just don't know what else to do and would like some advice.

Playing with a champ you like is the first steps. You seem to like being an ADC.

Its all about positioning. Sadly the kind of teaching your asking for is hard to get. Because whats you really need is experience. this game is getting quite old so its player have quite a high experience with it.

Looking at player playing the game does not guarantee you'll understand the mechanics that's make difference between a so-so Vayne and an awesome one.

Playing the game itself mastering how to orb walk(auto-attacking and moving) and mastering positioning is the key. If you die to a ash blitz combo you more likely make positioning mistake. Its a comp that's punish HARD positioning mistake.

My best advice would be however that's even if its bad once you die try to understand why(example: Darn i died.....yea should have stayed behind that's minion to prevent blitz from pulling me, then you do your best to correct the mistake you did to not do it again, or do it less often)

And i think another big thing is the crowd that people often fall into when playing the game. I would feel a million times better if people were trying to be helpful when playing, then belittling every new person that comes into the game.

This morning, as a matter of fact, i had someone new try to play mid lane and was kind of sucking. I took him into a few custom games and tried to show him the best way that i have learned to play that lane and tried to help him along. Which, i think, not only helped him a little bit, but also gave him the motivation to keep trying.

For a while, that was many of the games i had gotten into, where the people were not only unfriendly, but very hostile (examples: Go kill yourself, your a noob and should uninstall, comments about family being retarded, being reported for no reason at all, etc...)

Got to play with Blunts last night, and that made me feel a whole lot better. So that is what is also leading me to believe that it is mostly the interaction with other players. I know i am not good. Yet. But at least i am not really that bad. I just need to keep working on my steps.

So i am still looking for people to play with that won't hound me, but rather, would help teach me what i have been doing wrong, and more friendly players.

PS: Thank you Blunts.
