@Riot, Can you give me some insight on why you make the changes you do

Before anyone reads this, i want it to be known that im not trying to bash or hate, im simply looking for a more clear insight on the things i talk about.

In your lasted "Patch Rundown" Video, ZionSpartan brought up a good point, one ive asked myself many times: "We at Riot dont enforce a said "Meta" but we balance champions to how we think they should be played and built" This has happened time and time again. A champion is too strong at how its being play, so Riot changes and someone flat out nerfs them. Then people find a new way to play them and new build paths that are better, and Riot nerfs that and brings back the old form.

This is most noteable with Nidalee and now Fizz, they were obnoxious as high ap burst mages, so you changed around the abilities, shaved off AP scalings, gave them decent AD ratios. People then started to play them as bruisers, with new build paths, building items that before would make you be seen as a "troll". But, as with whats strong and whats being played in the meta, its up for change. You started shaving down the ad ratios, reverting changes, and giving them back AP ratios, highly nerfing those alternate and fun build paths. Now fizz is back to an high burst mage, and nidalee is back to 1/2 hitting your ADC with a good spear.

In my honest opinion the "answer" you gace ZionSpartan was weak, it felt like you were trying to avoid the question. I dont understand why you must kill, or well, at least really hurt a champions alternate build path. They have their own weaknesses and strengths.

Is it because its being played alot? Is it because its winrate is too high? (even though i dont remember seeing their winrates hit over 60% (Looking at you Warwick and Skarner)) Is it because the community complains too much about them? Is it because having only way one of playing a champ (AD vs AP) is easier for new players?

To me it feels like the first one is what causes the changes the most. Like if people started playing AP varus cause of the sleeper op AP scaling on his w (pls dont nerf), it would be toned down. Im honestly watching for Ekkos base damages to get hit soon because hes seeing alot of LCS play as a full tank.

Of course, i could be wrong, it could be none of the stuff i listed, or a small combination of all of them. Thats why im asking,

Please give me a better insight on why you make the changes that you do, and why it seems like you force champions into certain build playstyles.
