Veigar isn't completely dead... not yet.

His new q is actually refreshing. I feel the problem lies within the change of his trap. His defensive game-play is nearly gone now. Yes, it really limits his trapping ability offensively with the new animations and .75 second delay, but Veigar is now very susceptible to Katarina, Akali and Kassadin, or any champ with a quick closer. My feelings is that to make Veigar playable again Riot needs to fix the trap. Personally I would like it to be the way it was. No delay. I could see a change being that it has a little shorter range but that would be the limit. The delay really crippled him as a champion.

Why are so many people wanting to change Veigar back to the way he was, he wasn't popular back then... this is the reason Riot changes champions like this. They want every champion to be played equally, if Veigar wasn't changed he wouldn't be played. I say just man through it, new Veigar is playable, not like he's broken.

The last statement I saw by Riot was that they didn't expect every champion to be played equally. The changes have nothing to do with promoting more play of Veigar.

People want the old stun back because it is the only way to really land his W. They want it back because it's his only defensive option. They want it back because it was one of the few abilities in the game that could counter mobility creep.

New Veigar might as well have his lore changed to make him from the Shadow Isles, he's that dead. http://champion.gg/champion/Veigar

If you need his stun to land his W you're not a very good Veigar.

Having actually played him since the rework, I actually feel like his e is how it was SUPPOSED to be used now. As a CAGE, not an insta-perma stun.

If you actually act like it's a cage, half of the time they'll run into the walls by themselves anyway.

Pro tip: Position the enemy champion in the middle of the cage rather than still trying to position it so that the walls will pop up directly on them if they stand where they currently are for .75 seconds.

So you pretty much want his E to be exactly the way it was.

No. I don't want it to be the same as it was. Like I mentioned, maybe shorter range or even a shorter delay. Also Veigar was never unpopular, just like any champion you need to have the right comp to go against is all. What I most dislike is the pre-stun animation of his trap. Also, the massive delay hurts his defensive play.

Yeah, that's exactly what Veigar's old E was. Shorter range, shorter delay.

No, there wasnt a delay at all before. the range was also longer.

Zero delay is technically shorter than it is now.

And they did buff it's range when they added the delay.
