A Mana Regen Option for Mid Laners... That You Have Already Made

A common complaint on the boards right now is the AP item changes, and a lot of people feel that AP characters don't have any defensive choices for mana items anymore, losing the option to build a 
effeciently unless you are a character who can shield or heal.
I know I absolutely loved this item on BMB, and I was really hoping it would make it's way into the game. There are plenty of mages who can make good use of this, especially burst mages who love to roam (Looking at you
