What happened to spear of shojin?

so, im a main and i was super excited to see what i could do with the new item "Spear of shojin" i logged on today at around AM only to find its not even mentioned in the patch notes... like.... at all... where did it go? there wasn't even an explanation for what happened to it or why it isn't in the game anymore. I just want to know where it went and why i cannot use such a glorious item? I can understand why it would need some fine tuning or a minor rework before hitting live servers, but i would like to know at least what happened to it, even if the end result is me never getting to see the item in the live servers.

i just want to know where it went.

It's been Ice Boxed, along with Atma's Impaler. They've been held off until the meta normalizes a bit more due to the drastic changes during the mid season. They have an undetermined return time.

You’re a yi main? You don’t deserve the items.

Also, they were postponed because riot “doesn’t want to alter the meta to significantly in the middle of a season.” Even though irelia is now an ADC. Also, learn a new champion.

both items postponed, next pre season, due to them being super broken and impossible to balance. i was actually gonna build them both on ADC with frozen mallet and still have insane damage and toughness Vayne item 3153 item 3124 item 3022 item 3006 +spear an atma would give her crazy high damage and toughness and also 15% health true damage every 2 AAs.

For some reason, it appears in the pre-made Item Sets, but you can't purchase it during gameplay. I like the item a lot and hope RIOT brings it into live servers.
