RIOT's ranked system is broken

This is my second season of league and last season I managed to get a silver ranking, not the best, but again I started brand new to MOBAs this past year. I have since gotten a lot better at the game and find myself winning lane most games. Last season I started my promotions 2-8 and got a bronze 1 placement. This season I went 9-1 carried 8 of my 9 wins and should of won the 1 loss and I still get a bronze 1 placement. Since then I have been trolled every.single.game that I play ranked. I had a Sona support that didnt know how to work the sightstone she bought, and would flash to get to lane faster, I had a yi jg that did nothing but feed every lane even tho we told him not to gank, I had a riven that picked riven into darius, despite warnings from the team in champ select and went 2/9 feeding a 10/2 darius. Plus countless other feeders and AFKs. Due to this I have now been demoted to Bronze 2..... There is literally no way a silver-tier player could of possibly been expected to carry these games. Possibly if I was plat-diamond tier I could have, but again, Im simply trying to get back into silver here... Riot needs to take a serious look at the point system, MMR system, and tribunal system. They need to crack down on the players that AFK or feed. They need to put the unskilled players in very very very low MMRs and just reward them with less points on each win. They need to look at player performance in the game instead of just wins and losses for climbing ranked.

i really hate how they have "placements" worded as such, Placement matches are just MMR resets.

I know this because ive played for 6 years and every time it happens the same thing goes down. Everyone gets de ranked, Everyone. UNLESS you played in pre-season and you boosted your mmr higher by playing extremely well.

Everyone in diamond goes to plat 1, everyone around plat goes to gold / silver, and everyone in gold / silver goes down to silver - bronze. Its the same thing over and over again, nothing changes.

At least you stayed in Bronze 1! I was placed in Bronze 5 even though i went 6-4 and was Bronze 3 last season...

I went down 9 points from losing one game and winning one game. Where is the data for the ranked system...it seems entirely based on number of kills vs deaths. So we are penalized if we play a game when someone is afk on our team and we end up with more deaths than kills. So is this why people go afk or stop helping soon as a team is going downhill? This explains

  1. "ks" syndrome(people just want kills for more rank points and really don't care about strategy or map objectives)
  2. why nobody wants to play support....supports tend to have more deaths than kills. If I'm losing 25 points for a loss and only gaining 15-20 for a win it is going to be forever before I can move up and play with better players. No wonder it is so rare for a team to really team fight....due to this ranking system nobody wants to be the first body to jump in, have a death and gain less points. This ranking system encourages greedy, selfish play and gives no reward to people that go after objectives...if your teams win more than lose points should go UP !!!! ....so we can get into a series for another afk game and go back down to 66 points ! Apparently you can lose points during a series but if you win the series you gain none and start at 0 points. Seriously I'm starting to feel the only way to go up in rank is to get as many kills as possible, helping teammates and taking down turrets seems to just put me at risk for more deaths and I won't gain any rank points.
