Perma ban for this???

My account just got a permanent suspension.... the chat logs are below... the chat doesn't tell the whole story, I was being flamed HARD by a 1/8 kalista. The Kalista used many different curse words and words like "retard" and "idiot". I understand that this isn't the best way to handle a loss.... but is this chat really worth a PERMANENT ban?

The behavior of others does not justify violations of the Summoner Code.

I checked your chat logs and it really doesn't look bad, I am very surprised you got banned, let alone perma-banned for that.... so I suspect you are not giving us the full story.

First off. the system does not operate off of "Well they started it!". It operates on "Anyone who breaks the rules, regardless of the circumstances, can be reported and face the penalties". This is why players are encouraged to mute, report, and say nothing more to anyone trying to start trouble in chat. If you are reported, the system will look at your behavior, and your behavior only. In this logs case, it appears you were being negative to your team, and consistently were declaring that game was lost, and demanding surrenders.

Second, rarely does one receive a permaban for chat/player behavior "because of one game". There are likely other games where you were reported and additional reasons for why you were punished, but the logs were not included. A Rioter involved in player moderation can browse your chat logs to find out.

And the final thing I can mention to explain why you received the punishment you did. If you have previously received either a Chat-Restriction, or a 14-day ban, you are put on a "parole" period for sometime after. This means reports against you are weighted more heavier than normal, and therefor, not only can it give the next level of punishment quicker, it also increases the likelihood that punishment levels can be skipped over. Especially depending on the frequency and severity of the offenses.

the people voting that this deserves permaban are why the tribunal was taken down. people will vote ban for Anything.

this obvioiusly doesnt deserve punishment.
