So I'm considering buying zed but I would like to know some things;
How strong is he pre 6 ?
Can he 100-0 someone at 6? If not, what level can he do so? Can he 100-0 a squishy without his ult? If so, what level must he be to do so?
What do you do in team fights? (I know he should be split pushing, but sometimes you get forced to fight)

His pre 6 is okay. Very reliant on landing his Q and his E position. One major weakness in his kit is that until you get the 2nd shadow from Death Mark, living shadow can only be used for an all in or escape.
No to the second question - pre 6 they will most likely flash when you all in. As for the third one, anyone can 100-0 any champion if the attacker is fed enough. There really isn't a set benchmark for when Zed can 100-0 someone.
In team fights, ult their ADC and double/triple shruken plus shadow slash. Then disengage as soon as possible. (If you are ahead by a significant margin, you may try to add more damage for your team. However, at that point you would be limited to AAs for a bit.)

once he hits lvl 3 or 4 he can poke for days with w+e+q (pre-6 strength is differently really strong)
he can 100-0 but u have to poke them before you ult . so start poking them from lvl 1-5 and at 6 u should get a kill.
he can 100-0 an adc without ult if he can stick to them (this is when zed has like a bork youmous last whisper) but it is very risky because without ult the enemy adc can 100-0 u before you 100-0 them.
in team fights u poke w+q until the team fight actually starts. then u ult the enemy adc or apc and damage them(most likely die in team fights because zed gets cced easily) so either you kill the enemy adc and die or u fail at killing the adc and u die anyways.
he has tons of room for outplay and really difficult if u are new to him.
like to play against a yasuo u usually have to w+e to take out his barrier then q afterwards to damage him in laning phase.
oh and also lvl 11 is definitely your power point. as you get lvl 2 ult and enemies dont have enough armor(or counterplay) yet
