Some nerf ideas for Tahm Kench that I don't think would effect his overall gameplay that drastically
So basically, we all know how annoying this
big beefy catfish can be. He stacks a ton of health, can save allies and disable enemies, and has decent built-in sustain that also gives him 2 effective healthbars in the form of Grey Health and Grey Shield. That last part is the aspect I wanted to focus on. I'm all for tanks having shields that scale with their health. But I am NOT fine with tanks having shields that can potentially scale with 99% of their health. For the sake of balance and kit consistency, I think that Grey Shield should only protect Tahm for as much health as Grey Health would regenerate, not the entire section of the bar he lost prior to activating it. If not that, give it some other kind of cap. Such as "Grey Shield can not exceed [Insert Number]% of Tahm's max health". This would help to tone down what I and several people I know think of as the most obnoxious part of TK's kit. The other thing we disliked about his kit was the ult passive that gave him good damage that scaled with his HP, but Riot has nerfed that in the recent patch and it has felt a bit more reasonable since.
I may be wrong, since I'm definitely no Kench main, so I want to know what you guys think. Kench mains, would his shield having a cap like I described be reasonable? Or do you believe it is too much? Share your thoughts, discuss!
for example everyone always cries about this champ yet he can be shutdown. the shield is easy to outplay because every tahm player plays the shield like
ult they wait till the last possible moment to pop it. All you have to do is cc him when he gets low hp then kill him before he can pop the shield or try and burst him so he doesn't have time to react and pop his shield. he has no gap closer so pick
and you will destroy him or pick and kit/peel champ and he is pretty useless. But if you try and not pick around him and just pick whatever you feel like yes you with get beat. It would be like picking a no cc team into a
and
you should lose if you pick a comp that cant handle the team you are playing against.
