WHY!!!

Why do i get placed with players that are less skilled then me? I was killing a Cho'Gath that was 3 lvl's higher then me with no problem. my team was just bad in general and i lost silver 3 and droped to silver 4 and im still droping every time i play ranked... WHY...!
