Why dont we keep the old game modes... i liked them. they were all challenging and interesting. the Doom Bots of Doom One For All U.R.F (Ultra Rapid Fire) Hexakill They were all fun. Why cant we have them again and i know for a fact that a lot of people will play those game modes more then Classic->summoner's rift 5vs5.
Basic idea of why they don't make them permanent: They were nearly impossible to balance, and as soon as people figured out a dominant strategy, it'd become super stale, and subsequently a waste of servers when people stop playing them because it's become boring.
Cycling them out like this keeps them fresh; plus it cuts you off before you get too burnt out on them, so you're eager to play when they return.
