Buff for Zyra

Zyra although is pretty strong at the moment, She feels lacking, Mainly because she is a immobile mid-long ranged mage with an ultimate that takes time to not do that much damage but land a large knock up

I think Zyra should get a buff,

But not in numbers

I think her seeds should, If an enemy champion steps on it, They get slowed slightly Then Zyra is able add aditional effects with her Q and E

If they are hit with the seed pollen Zyras next attack within 5 seconds posions them with Q And stuns them with E Just my thoughts, And maybe make it if she right clicks her seed she will randomly get an effect -Speed boost (small speed boost) -Health boost (basically give effects of health pot) -Defense boost (Gives armour and mr boost) last 15 seconds each can only be used every 30/25/20/15/10 seconds depending on seed level

And take out her cdr on her seeds:3

While I like the idea of Zyra getting bonus effects on landing spells on someone who stepped on her seeds, I think that there is some level of counterplay in her opponents stepping on the seeds to purposely remove them, and I don't think they should be punished for that.

I also think that right clicking for a random effect is not good because of its random nature, which is not good for a competitive game like League of Legends.

If we're talking about buffing Zyra, why not buff her passive a bit? As it stands, its a true damage skill shot when she dies, but suffers from multiple delays, making it hard to land. Look at the other "life after death" passives.

Sion - Full control, majorly buffed stats, can use actives, and get a free move speed ability.

Karthus - No mana costs, able to cast spells all around him for 7 seconds.

Kog'Maw - Probably the closest passive to Zyras, but his isn't even a skillshot, he just has to chase the target, usually burning a flash on a target without a dash. (Zyra's passive can be avoided by a dash also.)

your idea is pretty interesting. i don't know about the random boosts, but the effects when enemies step on the seeds could be useful. i was toying with the idea of increasing the number of seeds she can store at higher ranks of her W, but it could become annoying to deal with her plants later in the game.

I just feel like she needs a movespeed buff of some kind, it makes no sense for an immobile squishy mage to also have the lowest possible MS in the game

I think the best way to give her move speed as a buff that only affects mid zyra would be to add a second part to her passive which is near useless on mid zyra as it stands granting her movespeed based purely on her AP, maybe around 0.02 MS per AP, equalling 10 MS at 500 AP.

If she's so strong (52%~ win rate is above average) I don't think she needs utility buffs.

Do remember her E is a great disengage tool and seeds can be very annoying (especially bot lane against supports that take spellthief because that interaction is stupid...)

The second part is just me being salty I can't attack saplings when my ADC is trying to farm because if I kill it spellthief goes on cooldown as if I killed a minion...

Zyra doesn't need a buff. If you look at any Zyra game, including support, she does some of the most damage on the team. It just doesn't feel like she's doing that much because she's not instant burst like say Ahri, Xerath, or Lux. She's a dot mage more like Swain and Malz who do A LOT of damage, but you don't really notice it.

Zyra can't be buffed without getting nerfed first, she just does way too much damage right now (for a buff).

I agree I feel like Zyra does need some type of buff. She is pretty good bot lane and has a pretty strong early game mid but I feel like she falls off quicker than a lot of other mid mages. I remember playing Zyra mid and as soon as the other champions hit lvl 6 I felt like I was in trouble, yes her ult is good but it was a lot harder to get a kill than pre 6. If the other mid has high mobility it is less likely that you will be able to get your ult off on them (the knock up part). At least bot you can usually get the knock up off. I have no clue on how to fix this. I would suggest either better mobility or maybe less of a delay on her ult? it is hard to say because giving less of a delay on her ult could really make it hard if you vs her bot. It is really tough to balance out champs who were meant for mid lane but are played bot lane. But it is kind of funny because people tend to play those champs bot lane because they just aren't as good as other mids. Plus you really can't stop different champs from going support (like when Annie support was popular and I have seen a lot of non-meta supports like Lee sins etc but they tend not to get nerf due to them seeing some support play) so it is kind of weird that they focus so hard on trying to "balance" these champions based on if they are played support every once in a while.

Zyra is a verry tricky champion to buff and currently doesn't even suit to be buffed in her current position. How you like it or not. Zyra is still classed as a higher tier support that was not uncommon to get placed into god tier a fell times this season. It the meta pulls back the game into her favor you will see Zyra back on a god tier spot. Even if the meta isn't in her favor she's still listed above average.

Her passive indeed feels a little bit weak right now. But this has a reason: Like you all known the rune changes made health & health/lv seals a lot more popular. This slight number of health made it a little bit harder to Zyra to get the killing blow on a enemy champion. If you known even the adc get 4/5 health seals sometimes the killing pressure from zyra passive is reduced.

With these health runes a champion has 72 health and 12-216 health with scaling runes.

The delay on Zyra ultimate comes from a time where mobility was much more rare. In the current meta a 2 second delay means you're basically using a Janna ultimate without heal: You disengage, but don't deal damage. That might work for support Zyra, but it hurts mid Zyra.

Also: The projectile speed on E is horribly low since the nerf.... Not to mention that the cooldown is inappropritely high considering how low the actual duration is. 0.75s - really? Enemies barely stop running.... And 0.25 per level with barely any damage on a high Cd skill is not worth the points...

No one thinks this is good or bad it seems :3

I would love Zyra to get 1 seed recharged upon reciving an assist or kill.
