Why are people allergic to Executioners calling?

I cant recall the number of defeats this caused to me in the few games i played this season, but about 50% of the lost matches would be fairly winneable if teamates went for this item. Its always the same, everybody wants to brawl constantly but lack the items for that, and when the enemy Senna makes her team inmortal or a random Vladimir heals from 3+ people R all-chat is filled with tears.

I dont understand, is just like this games community belongs somewhere else, not here, in LoL. They dont want to do the things that are meant to be done in order to win, yet they complain.

Just a random thought, dont mind me.

I'm a Soraka main, so I always see Executioner's Calling.

I usually see it bought at the wrong time though.

If you aren't doing damage, then Executioner's Calling isn't going to make a difference.

That's why buying it early game isn't a good option. You will straight up lose with that item and no accompanying damage. As Soraka, if I press tab and see EC on their first back, which I frequently do, then the lane belongs to me and my ADC. No question, they lost.

A lot of times you won't even need EC early game because you're probably losing trades for another reason.

However, EC is a must have item when you do damage because so many champions have insane self-healing and healing champions will have their items. This happens later in the game though.

I think there's just a lot of misunderstanding around grievious wounds.

That's especially notable when you compare Morello's with Mortal Reminder.

It does get better in platinum, but on my yearly trip through gold at the start of season I seem to run into that situation quite a few times. Enemy team has mundo top, vladimir mid with draven and soraka bot. I tell my adc to pick up an early executioners calling and, if they say anything at all it's usually,

"But that will ruin my powerspike" or the classic "Just buy morello"

as if me shelling out 3,000 gold from my support budget is comparable to them spending 800 when they're getting all the farm

because the item just looks shit. where's the lethality? where's the cdr? where's the crit? if it has none of those then the community deems it a troll AD item. hence the constant complaining about the lethality assassins that are getting dumpstered by the suddenly popular soraka or something.

Because the item is useless against the champions you'd want it for like Mundo and Vlad, and is totally overpowered versus supports that you kill quickly anyway if you can lock them down

if you're against a soraka, nami sure get one, if you're against a 10/1 vlad, well have fun buying it, still getting fucking destroyed.
